In today’s culture of fear, it is important for the believer to recover a healthy understanding of the fear of the Lord. Recognizing that the fear of God is not a call to be afraid of God but rather an obedient response to the overwhelming gracious hand of God’s blessing. This lesson will explore both Old and New Testament passages centering on Christ’s anticipated fear of the Lord from Isaiah 11:1-3.
Rhome van Dyke explores Jesus’ model prayer, emphasizing how believers can align their lives with God’s will and advance His kingdom on earth. He examines each petition, showing how prayer invites God’s presence, power, and provision into daily life, and how it calls Christians to live faithfully as participants in God’s eternal plan.
With Jude’s call to contend for the faith, Rhome Van Dyck examines the central theme of the cross and Jesus’ substitutionary atonement and all it accomplishes.
In this message from John 13:1-17, Rhome van Dyck explores the triune God as the relational God of love. He highlights how Jesus’ example of humble service at the Last Supper models the love and service God desires in His followers.
Rhome van Dyck examines the beauty of Jesus as the perfect revealer of the Father. He highlights how Christ shows God’s character, provides a pathway to know Him personally, and offers assurance that knowing Jesus is the key to understanding and experiencing the fullness of God in our daily lives.
Rhome van Dyke explores the Christmas story from John’s unique “top-down” perspective, showing that Jesus, the Word, existed from the very beginning, created all things, and brings light and life to the world. By connecting John 1 with Old Testament prophecies and passages, he emphasizes that Christ’s coming fulfills God’s purposes and illuminates the darkness for all who believe.
